WHY IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?

          Normally, a healthy growing plant is NOT going to be extremely dark green in color, but a lighter shade of green, called a living green color.  Why?  The dark green color indicates high salt content in the plant tissue itself, caused by using too much high salt based fertilizer which in turn creates an imbalance in the plant’s nutrient system.  The lighter shade of green in contrast, generally indicates a healthy, vigorous, fast growing plant.

          Kozgro’s Agricultural Field Blend (AFB) helps to establish humus in the soil immediately upon application.  As proper humus levels are achieved in the soil, proper nutrient levels are also achieved in the plant and the fertilizer salts are converted to cell and tissue salts through Biological Transmutation.  Also, when using the Kozgro Program, the quantity of nutrients present in the soil, most of which become readily available to the plant, are only used in small amounts as they are needed by the plant.  The plant is not forced to grow on salts as is normally the case when using commercial fertilizers exclusively. Instead, the intake of nutrients are governed and controlled by the need of the plant at its various growth stages.

          What happens when large amounts of commercial fertilizers are applied to the soil season after season?  The commercial fertilizers are high salt based material, thus soil balance deteriorates.  Many of the essential nutrients are tied up in a non-usable form, as well as the rapid depletion of soil humus (the life blood of the soil).  The response to salt based commercial fertilizer is represented by a forced growth of any given crop.  What effect does this forced growth have on the plant itself?  The plant’s hair root system, which regulates nutrient and moisture intake, develops very poorly.  Also, the plant is not as strong and vigorous.  It has extremely poor resistance to insect and disease attack, and it cannot handle plant stress problems.  In general, the result is a weak plant structure that cannot withstand any extremes in growing conditions.

   Characteristically, Kozgro’s organic fertilizer and plant food, AFB, produces plants with a healthy, vigorous, living green color.
