NOTES *

The best time to apply the 1st application is right after the previous crop is harvested, as far in advance of planting as possible, or as recommended. A broadcast spray pattern should be used for all applications.  Please contact your dealer or Kozgro, Inc. if you have any questions.

Fertilizer, commercial or organic, should be reduced by 30% or more.

The AFB can be applied through center pivots if the proper equipment and procedure is used.  Contact us for further information.

If the crop is already up when making the 1st application, wait 2½ weeks before making the 2nd application and then follow the application chart, or as recommended.

When applying AFB to trees or grapes, apply approximately 20% to the tree or grapevine, and 80% to the ground when applied at dormant stage.  During the growing stage, apply approximately 80% to the tree or grapevine and 20% to the ground.

When transplanting a crop, including trees, mix some AFB with the water used for transplanting.  This will help to keep the transplant from going into as much shock as it normally would and putting it under stress.  If this is not done, the crop should be sprayed immediately after transplanting with 6 ounces per acre of AFB.

If your fertilizer program includes Anhydrous Ammonia (NH3), please contact your dealer or Kozgro, Inc. before using.

If your crop is under stress due to weather (hail, wind, frost, etc.) or chemical damage, contact your Kozgro dealer or Kozgro, Inc. immediately for the amount of AFB to apply to help your crop recover sooner.

 MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

When adding the AFB to the sprayer, be sure the total amount of water to be used is put into the sprayer first, then add the AFB and agitate.  Do not add any water after the AFB is added.  By putting the AFB in the sprayer and then adding water, you may not get the full benefit of the AFB.

We do not recommend the use of other spreaders or stickers when the AFB is being used. The AFB should not be mixed with other chemicals. It should be applied by itself.

If a herbicide is going to be used and it is time to apply the AFB, apply the AFB at least 24-48 hours before or after the herbicide. If a herbicide has been used in the sprayer that the AFB is going to be applied with, be sure to thoroughly clean the tank, lines, pump, nozzles, etc. before applying the AFB to any foliage.
